Week 8 Update From the General Manager

Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Let’s hope so and that it’s not a train!

A few items to cover at the beginning of May:

The Board of Directors has decided to continue with closures and cancellations as we have been observing since March 16th for the current month of May.

Some members are questioning the Food & Beverage Minimum changes. Your Food & Beverage Minimum has been switched from quarterly to an annual charge. Each month your statement will show your balance for the remainder of the year. If you have a balance due on December 31, 2020, that amount will be charged to your account at that point.

The two questions being asked most often are concerning the Driving Range and the Swimming Pool.

Driving Range Status:
The range has been seeded again this Spring and we are waiting for Mother Nature to do her part. As for the runoff area, we are waiting for the contractor to begin work on that section. We’ve been told it will only take 2 – 3 days to repair the runoff area. The range can be opened as soon as we have enough grass coverage. Even if the runoff area has not been finished, we will still go ahead and open the range.

Swimming Pool Update:
We are working to prepare the pool for the 2020 pool season.  Paint and grate covers have been ordered. Cleaning of the pool started today. We will clean, pressure wash and paint after which the pool will be ready to fill with water and open for the summer when we are given the OK by the State. The pool falls into the same category as our tennis courts as far as being able to open. Being a private club does not allow for any difference in guidelines as mandated by the State government.
